About Michael Frisco

I help performing arts organizations grow audiences, strengthen revenue, and give their teams clearer direction.

With more than 20 years in performing arts marketing and audience development, I understand the demands of leading a marketing department: delivering ticket revenue, managing limited resources, supporting a team, and helping colleagues and boards understand what the numbers mean.

Since launching my independent practice in 2024, I have worked with organizations including the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Live Arts Toledo, and the League of American Orchestras. My work spans strategic counsel, interim marketing leadership, and executive coaching.

My approach is practical and collaborative. I work alongside leaders and teams to understand what is happening, establish clear priorities, and build reporting and planning practices they can use with confidence. I bring an outside perspective with an understanding of the day-to-day realities inside an arts organization.

Whether I’m helping shape a subscription campaign, guiding a department through a transition, or coaching a leader through a difficult decision, my goal is to leave people better equipped for what comes next.
